According to Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of FPT, businesses need more opportunities to play their role and solve major problems in all fields.
Mr. Truong Gia Binh – Chairman of the Board of Directors of FPT shared with VnExpress Regarding the role of private enterprises.
– As a member of Vietnam's first-generation (F1) entrepreneurs, what are your thoughts on the role of private enterprises in the current period?
– Like many other entrepreneurs, I harbor the aspiration to help the Vietnamese economy develop and integrate into the world. To achieve this, we need to transform this aspiration into a shared desire of every citizen and business.

Mr. Truong Gia Binh expressed his wish for businesses to have more opportunities for development.
So, in your opinion, what path can help realize this goal?
– In my opinion, businesses need more opportunities to demonstrate their capabilities and determination. At the recent meeting of prominent entrepreneurs and intellectuals on the theme "Dialogue 2045," I, along with many business leaders, expressed our desire to form alliances and work together to solve the "major national challenges.".
For example, consider the story of handling the overload situation at the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE). With the cooperation of HoSE, FPT made efforts to deploy the new trading system within 100 days and put it into operation on schedule as committed.

FPT resolved the HoSE exchange overload issue within 100 days.
– Why were many people surprised and thought it "impossible" when he set a 100-day deadline for resolving the HoSE exchange overload issue?
– First of all, everyone was surprised because this is a difficult problem. The stock market is considered a "barometer" of the economy. The technical problem of HoSE is not only a source of frustration for investors, securities companies, or a story of capital flow bottlenecks… but also, to some extent, impacts Vietnam's reputation with global organizations and investors. Especially in the context of Vietnam becoming a bright spot attracting investment capital.
There are three crucial points to this problem. First, the system's tolerance threshold must be tripled from 900,000 orders per day, equivalent to approximately 3-5 million orders. But this is not the final threshold; all scenarios must be prepared for the possibility of exceeding it.
Secondly, it is necessary to connect and integrate with all existing systems of the State Securities Commission. And thirdly, it is prohibited to interfere with the existing systems of securities companies.
Next is FPT's capability. We are involved in most core and comprehensive solutions for the banking, finance, and securities sectors. This includes solutions for the Stock Exchange and Securities Depository Center, the State Securities Commission, and solutions and applications for securities companies.
The 100-day deadline was a carefully calculated decision. We confirmed the workload and, most importantly, the system's responsiveness. While system development could have taken just one month if rushed, real-world testing required more time, so we allocated two months for testing. Fortunately, that was just enough time to launch the system on July 5th as promised and address all three key issues.

The system was deployed on July 5th, as promised.
– Following the successful resolution of the HoSE exchange overload issue, what are FPT's plans for the future?
– From my experience at my company, I realize that the private sector needs more opportunities to play its role and create strong momentum for the country's economic development. Vietnamese businesses can do well when given the responsibility and trust.
The business community needs to be facilitated in all types, sizes, and sectors to support the resolution of economic and social issues. This will enable them to better seize opportunities and integrate into the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
FPT was born from the policy of innovation, and over the past 30 years, it has "grown" alongside the development of the country. The time has come for us to take on greater challenges and solve bigger problems. Currently, FPT is focusing its efforts on helping Vietnam develop further based on digital technology, aiming towards a digital nation model with three main pillars: digital government, digital society, and digital economy.
