VTV.vn – After a difficult year due to COVID-19, businesses are optimistic about the business situation in 2022, with improved production and an increase in new orders.
According to data recently released by the Ho Chi Minh City Statistics Department, nearly 701 TP3T businesses In Ho Chi Minh City, it was assessed that production and business activities in the fourth quarter of 2021 improved and remained stable.
With the supply chain and transportation links restored, Anh Viet Veterinary Pharmaceutical Company resumed operations with a capacity of 1001 TP3T and accelerated production right from the beginning of the year. In 2021, although only achieving the planned 801 TP3T, the company gained many new orders and business partners thanks to its flexibility and adaptability to the pandemic.
“"We will seek new partners and strengthen existing customers to increase sales, aiming for a growth target of approximately 201 TP3T compared to the pandemic year," said Ms. Do Thi Thuy, General Director of Anh Viet Veterinary Pharmaceutical Company.
FDI businesses also have an optimistic view of the economic recovery prospects in the new year, as Government Resolution 128 is implemented comprehensively. Businesses have shown many innovations to adapt to the pandemic, such as: establishing care and treatment areas for workers; applying digitalization in management, production, and business… FDI capital flows have also been adjusted upwards.
“In 2022, we expect the factory to continue expanding production. The workforce will receive more thorough technological training, allowing foreign experts to enter Vietnam, as well as enabling Vietnamese people to receive training abroad,” shared Ms. Ho Uyen, Director of External Relations, Intel Vietnam and Malaysia Co., Ltd.
The Ho Chi Minh City Industrial Zone Business Association believes that the increase in new orders is a crucial factor leading to a rebound in production volume for businesses. 2022 will be both a pivotal year and a challenge for businesses. After the pandemic, businesses will need to address shortcomings in their development processes such as raw material supply chains, labor resources, and financial capacity.
“"Businesses want policy consistency, synchronized involvement from the central to local levels, and effective regional linkages so that provinces and localities can provide unified support to businesses," said Mr. Tran Thien Long, Vice Chairman and General Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Industrial Park Business Association.
Many experts also expect that sufficiently comprehensive and industry-specific support packages will be implemented early in 2022, aiming to create momentum for businesses to recover and thrive, taking advantage of the opportunities presented by Resolution 128.
