On the afternoon of December 22, 2025, under the direction of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper, in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Business Association (HUBA), organized the ceremony to honor and award the title of "Ho Chi Minh City Green Enterprise" in 2025. This year, 155 enterprises were honored, including 77 manufacturing enterprises and 78 enterprises in the trade, service, and real estate sectors, recognizing their outstanding efforts in green transformation, environmental protection, and sustainable development.
Attending the ceremony were: Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha, Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Huynh Thanh Nhan, Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Vo Tan Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), along with leaders of departments, agencies, and representatives of the awarded businesses. On the organizing committee side were Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoa, Chairman of HUBA and Head of the Organizing Committee, and journalist Nguyen Khac Van, Acting Editor-in-Chief of Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper and Co-Head of the Organizing Committee.
The Ho Chi Minh City Green Business Award was initiated by the Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper in 2006. Over nearly two decades, the program has continuously improved. Since 2023, the award has been organized under the auspices of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee. In 2025, the selection scope expanded to a maximum of 300 businesses, and the recognition cycle extended to 3 years, affirming that green transformation is a long-term strategy linked to the sustainable management and development of businesses.
