(Thanhuytphcm.vn) – On the evening of April 6th, at the auditorium of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Voice Radio Station, a program titled "Support for children of workers whose parents died due to the Covid-19 pandemic and awarding scholarships to studious children of workers from disadvantaged families" was held in the Export Processing Zones and Industrial Parks.
The program was organized in coordination with the following units: the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City Export Processing Zones and Industrial Parks; the Association of Enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City Industrial Parks; and the Trade Union and Youth Union of the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City Export Processing Zones and Industrial Parks.

At the program, the organizers awarded 110 scholarships, including 40 scholarships for students orphaned by the Covid-19 pandemic (3,000,000 VND per scholarship, 5,000,000 VND per scholarship for those who lost both parents); and 70 scholarships for underprivileged but studious students (1,500,000 VND per scholarship for primary school students, 2,000,000 VND per scholarship for secondary school students, and 3,000,000 VND per scholarship for high school students).
The program aims to promote the spirit of mutual support and solidarity, while also demonstrating the leadership role of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Management Board of Export Processing Zones and Industrial Parks of Ho Chi Minh City in directing the work of caring for and supporting the children of workers in the Export Processing Zones and Industrial Parks in the city. This is also one of the activities to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment and development of the Export Processing Zones and Industrial Parks of Ho Chi Minh City.
